The Marine-Puck Dual MP6 50A is a high-capacity 12 kVA toroidal marine isolation transformer designed for safe and robust shore power on larger yachts, trawlers, and vessels with dual 50-amp 120/240V split-phase service.
Soft start and boost features included with every unit.
It features two hermetically epoxy-encapsulated toroidal transformers housed in flame-rated non-metallic ABS plastic enclosures, delivering true double insulation with no ground reference to the enclosures or boat ground.
Because the enclosures are non-metallic, they cannot be grounded and provide superior corrosion resistance compared to most stainless-steel alloys in harsh marine environments. The solid epoxy potting compound in each unit locks all internal connections in place, eliminating vibration-induced loosening, shorts, or arcing while preventing seawater ingress. This powerful dual configuration offers the same proven galvanic isolation and electrical safety benefits as single-unit Marine-Puck models, making it the ideal solution for boats with heavy air conditioning, appliance loads, and demanding electrical systems.
Key Benefits
- Stops nuisance GFI tripping on shore power
- Eliminates galvanic corrosion of metal hulls, shafts, and propellers
- Provides true Class II double insulation (no ground reference)
- Hermetically sealed epoxy potting prevents seawater ingress
- Non-metallic ABS enclosures offer superior corrosion resistance
- Quiet toroidal design – no annoying hum
- Up to 50% lighter and smaller than conventional laminated transformers
- Soft-start included on all units
- 104 V and 208 V boost included on all units
- UL Listed Marine (E509703) and Ignition Protected
